Offers a wide range of programs for persons with disabilities, including Temporary Disability Assistance providing medical, housing and other services to disabled adults who are ineligible for other cash assistance programs; offers Temporary Cash Assistance—provides cash assistance to needy families with dependent children when available resources do not fully address the family’s needs and while preparing program participants for independence through work; offers Disability Entitlement Advocacy Program (DEAP)—helps severely disabled Marylanders receiving cash assistance obtain Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits; offers Emergency Assistance to Families with Children—assists customers with dependent children under the age of 21 who face an immediate crisis and need help to resolve the situation.
